Kimo's is a 21 venue with doors opening at 9pm for 9-30pm shows. The music is over with by midnight on other nights, but goes on til 1 on Fri and Sat. However, the downstairs bar can be accessed between 11am and 2am. Live music has been a happening thing at Kimo's for more than three decades. The bars were given a makeover when Kimo's got a new owner during 2008. As well as live music, Kimo's offers private parties, performance art, and a bar.
Among bands that have played Kimo's recently, you will find The Rocking Chairs, News From Nowhere, Slowburn, Lumaya, Mama Lion Richard Chase Band, and Midnight Train. Bands coming along shortly include Nighty Night, Attacks The Darkness, One Hundred Swans, The Crazies Will Destroy You, Bare Wires, and Vows.
