Tragic and magic

There have been two pieces of recent news coming to my attention in relation to the music scene in San Francisco.
Firstly, a sickening incident occurred last week, when an M60 was thrown at Roisin Isner,
the drummer of SF band Tinkture. This unfortunate episode occurred during a fireworks display in Dolores Park. The result being that Roisin’s hand was so badly damaged that it is highly unlikely that she will be able to continue her drumming career. The report reads that she has lost her index finger and received permanent disfigurative damage to two more fingers. Her understandably irate father is offering a substantial reward, and can be contacted at chrisisner@hotmail.com if you witnessed details of this horrific and shocking event and can name the identity of the thoughtless culprit. Alternatively, you can contact the detective working the case, Sergeant Fabbri on 416 850 6615.
An update to the initial report includes this description, QUOTE: “18 to 25, 5’10 – 6’, 180 lbs, olive skin (don’t know race and he had no accent), he had a smooth face like he was younger with a “chocolate milk mustache” IE: like a kid the doesn’t have to shave yet very light and thin mustache. Dark colored shirt, blue jeans, curly black hair sticking out from under an Oakland A’s cap. It is an alternate A’s hat so it is black with a green A’S symbol. What makes this hat even more distinct is it also had a welt that was green too. A welt is a tube of fabric sewn into the seams.” and asks that if you were present and took any photographs or video coverage of the event, that you please check your pictures/video for this person.
Secondly, there is good news for local singer/songwriter Keith Varon, whom many people were introduced to when a couple of his songs were aired on the popular TV show Laguna Beach. He has just informed the public of a new management deal with Mark Sandoval of http://www.musicisp.com who also manages the well-known band Journey. Along with the writing of new material and prolific touring all over the States, things are progressing well for Keith.
