First up, Astral - one of my fav. bands - plays the Rock-It Room on Thursday night, with Moon Cadillac, The Evening Episode, and Make Amends. It is a 21 /9pm/$7 show. Details can be found at www.rock-it-room.com
At The Blank Club in San Jose - which is just a 'lil bit' outter town, The Common Men play a show on Friday at 9pm. The show also includes belladonna, zero, and metro.
Also in SJ, at the Gingerbread House at 9pm on Friday, you can catch The Passionistas with Worker Bee, Bridges, Salian Rail, and Radmacher. The showstarts at 9pm.
Also on Friday, The Sharktopus, From Ritual To Romance, The Young Death, Envy Against Heros, Death Of Me and The Verity all play a 6pm/$7 show at The Dome, Bakersfield.
NCR, an alternative folk/rock band, have a CD release show on November 10th at 8pm. The show is at Old Chewy’s (Wilson) Bakersfield and is with Get up Get Down. You can hear some of the band's music at Really Long Link
Back to SF city, on November 12th at CDN, you can catch You Said Saturday with The Whigs and Wild Sweet Orange. Doors open at 830 for this 930pm show, which is $8/10 and 21 .
