September first has another day packed with music at The Art & Soul Festival, Oakland. Once again, there are a half dozen stages and a few dozen bands performing in this all age event.
You might prefer to catch the 6pm show at The Hemlock, with Fucked Up, Crystal Antlers, and Strange Boys offering their music to you for $10.
The Chop have a record release at CDN on September 2nd. Tickets cost $10, and music will also be provided by Pants Pants Pants and The Guitar Zeros. It is a 21 show starting at 9pm.
Tuesday also offers Oxford Collapse, Love As Laughter, and Willow Willow at The Rickshaw Stop from 8pm. This is to be all age and tickets range from $10 -12.
Birdmonster have an 8pm concert at the Great American Music Hall on 3 September. The all age show will cost $21. The band opens for Nada Surf. Birdmonster’s new album From the Mountain to the Sea will be released in HC format at this show.
On September 3rd at CDN, you can catch music from The Mommyheads, Brad Brooks, The Mumlers, and DJ Roscoe. This show starts at 9-30, with doors from 8-30. It is a 21 concert and tickets at the door will cost you $12.
Wednesday also offers you Dave Lionelli, Winsome Griffles, and Letters & Numbers at The El Rio. Tickets are only $5 for this 8pm/21 show.
