The Frail are looking for a SF inhabitant who can roller skate. They have not yet disclosed the details, but if you know of someone, please send a line to them at www.myspace.com/thermals
On Thursday, local band Sputterdoll are playing at the Retox. It is a $5/21 show, with two other bands. For anyone not aware of Sputterdoll, they were one of the groups I included in my SF music scene book, written in 2005. (This book is still available for preview/purchase, and can be found at www.lulu.com/winterbear)
Jenn Grinels CD Release (with special guest Rick Hardin) is happening at the Hotel Utah on Friday.
Triple Cobra are playing the Rickshaw this Saturday. It is a $10 all age show with two other bands. Cold Hot Crash are playing CDN on the same date, for $5, with 3 other bands and a DJ. Across in Oakland, Ex-Boyfriends are playing the Uptown Nightclub. That is a $6, 21 show with one other band.
The Dilettantes will be playing a breast cancer benefit show at the American Music Hall on August 16th. It is an all age event and there will be three other bands.
