For fans of classical music, the San Francisco Concert Chorale continues its 35th anniversary season's 'Bach Experience' on May 31 at 8pm at the Mission Dolores Basilica (16th & Dolores Streets), where there will be a full performance of the Mass in B minor. Tickets - @ $35 - can be found at www.sfconcertchorale.org.
If you are interested in catching some 'well-known' chart-performers, there is to be a camping festival down south in Monterey, from May 30 through June 1. The location is Laguna Seca Recreation Area, and some of the familiar names listed to perform include: Snoop Dogg, Taking Back Sunday, Paula Cole, and Hot Buttered Rum.
If you don't like classical or famous and are staying around town, you can catch The Chop Tops, The Badmen, and The Infamous Swanks at The Uptown, Oakland. They share a $10/9pm concert.
Brass Menazeri and DJ's Brother Grimm, Bas, and Chris Baty, perform at The Rickshaw Stop on Saturday. This show is all-age and set for 9pm.
20 Minute Loop have a 9-30pm show at The Hemlock with Tartufi and Yes Oh Yes. Tickets are listed at $7 for this 21 event.
There is a Metal Tribute Night set for The Red Devil Lounge on Saturday 31st. You can catch at least five bands for $10/$12 from 8pm.
If you still haven't found a concert to suit your taste, you could try Kimo's, where you will find The Holy Kiss, Paranoids, The Better Maker, and Fast Dragon performing for $8 to a 21 audience.
