KILL MOI - HOLD ME, MOTHERF***ER REVIEW
August 9th 2011 17:24
WHEN - bouncing in with a boppy soft-rock tune, the first track envisions a continuum of lively songs.
THE STRANGER'S KISS - the longest track opens a little slower than the first catchy offering. It leads into soulful vox backed with slow-starting instrumentation that opens into a poppier patch before resettling, eventually ending in a calm fade.
THE FACE YOU DESERVE - a twangy, toe-tapping start opens for the strong vox backed by a head-swaying beat.
FINISH DYING AND KISS ME - a boomphy intro leading into a vocal prominent track.
BIG, DUMB SMILE - a percussive intro with brass backing leads into the now familiar vox - that one moment strain metallically, the next tumble with laughter.
REGRESA A MOI - a quiet twangy start leads into a buzzing background and hypnotic percussion to accompany the sliding lyrics of a slower song.
THE STORM IS YOU - a mix of vocal styles quickly follow the brassy beginning and lead the tune through some interesting instrumental leads.
DIM SUM - the shortest song rattles in before the vox join the music. A speedy track in beat as well as duration.
JANUARIES - this is my fav track from the début album - a soft and haunting melodic ballad that melts you.
