On Wednesday 2nd January, you can catch 5 bands at the Balazo Gallery, starting at 7pm, for $5. Bands listed include Vena Cava, Fischer, & This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb. It is an all age benefit show for the Prisoner's Literature Project, so it is requested that you bring along a book/paperback. (I would recommend a book from at www.lulu.com/winterbear)
January 4th at the Uptown, Oakland, you can catch Maldroid, along with The Hot Toddies, & Royalty in a 21 show at 8-30pm. Tickets - $8.
Oakland band Goodbye Gadget have found their new member, Neil Hagge. Sounds like this is going to be a successful union, QUOTE: "The great feedback to our first show with Neil and the awesome music coming out of our practices make us super excited for the coming year. Welcome Neil!" The band hopes to go on a short tour for 2 weeks in March and release a new EP in/by summer. Their music can be sampled at their Myspace, Really Long Link
