A guitar for a dollar and other updates

Chelsea, bassist from the band AROARAH, turns 21 tonight. For the cost of $1, you get the chance to win her bass guitar! The concert and guitar raffle are at the Boardwalk, and all proceeds go to local charity. Four other bands are playing.
Sputterdoll are examining options for a new practice space, and looking for 1-2 bands (non smoking on site) to join in on the rental fees. They are playing the Retox Lounge on August 9th.
In other news, The Stevenson Ranch Davidians are playing the Echo every Wednesday during August and Tokyo Decadence are offering a free song each day from their new EP at Myspace.
Backtracking to the Roisin ‘firework-hand’ incident, a few verifications have been issued by Roisin herself. Apparently the end result is the loss of just one finger, therefore her drumming career is not ended as thought at first. QUOTE: “What happened was my index finger got shattered (the bone was like mush) and most of the tissue and tendons got blown off, my middle finger was pretty badly broken and lost some tissue and tendon, my ring finger is normally broken and lost the tissue around my knuckle, my pinkie and thumb are fine. The genius doctors figured out to amputate my index finger and take the little tendon and tissue it still had, and put that in my middle finger. So now I'm a finger short, but all my other fingers will work divinely.”
