My Revolver & Triple Cobra share the listing at BOTH on the 26th. It is a 21 show with doors open from 8-30pm.
One Hundred Suns, One In The Chamber & Scarecrow are all playing a 10pm show on the 26th at The Knockout. It will cost you $6 and is 21 .
From February 26th (thru March 2nd) you can get involved with the annual Noise Pop Festival in San Francisco, which has now been running for 16 years. On this occasion, Three Ring Records is joining with Noise Pop Industries to present the event. One of the first events is Happy Hour at Thee Parkside, running from 5-8pm on the 27th. Music For Animals, Solar Powered People, and Jub are all set to play live at this free event - with specials on the drinks. QUOTE: "Three Ring has compiled some of the best up and coming bands into one spectacular sampler - titled Noise Pop 2008 - and it's free! There will be cds available at all Noise Pop Festival shows. For those of you who are unable to attend a show this year, you can download a digital copy of the sampler at eMusic - but hurry, it will only be available until March 15! The sampler includes tracks by Earlimart, Elephone, Aim Low Kid, Cursive, Audio Out Send, Dengue Fever, D.W. Holiday, Georgie James, Music For Animals, The Botticellis, The Lonelyhearts, and The Union Trade!"
Another Noise Pop event is on at CDN, where Entrance and The Mumlers are amongst the 4 bands playing on the 27th in a 9pm show.
Kami Nixon has a CD release party set for the Red Devil Lounge on February 27th. The show is set for 9, with doors at 8. Local music enthusiasts may be interested to learn that Bill Spooner and son Boone have had some input on the album, QUOTE: "Bill produced, engineered, and played on Fertile Girl. Boone mixed the album and played drums. Bill, Boone and killer bassist DLucca will be backing Kami at her CD release party." The CD is reported to be currently available. Mellisa Rapp and Rick Hardin also play the show. Tickets cost $5/$8 and details can be found at www.myspace.com/reddevillounge
Warren Teagarden (with Anthony on drums and Anthony on bass) has a show at the Stork Club in Oakland on February 27th with The Jack Rubys and Breakbeard. It will cost you $5 and starts at 9pm.
Bloomsday Rising have a show at Ireland's 32 (3920 Geary Blvd) on February 28th.
Birdmonster have a show on the 28th February at the Great American Music Hall. They play with Stellastarr.
At The Independent on the 28th February, you can catch Kelley Stoltz's new album 'Circular Sounds.' Grand Archives also play this show.
Pigeons or Panthers are playing the Retox Lounge with the Definite Articles on February 29th.
Astral, Veil Veil Vanish, Rykarda Parasol and DJ MizMargo all play The Red Devil Lounge on February 29th. Details can be found at www.myspace.com/reddevillounge and tickets are set to coast $15/$17. The door open at 8pm.
