2009 shows: October 29-30

Japanese band Shonen Knife play a show with Ty Segall and Kepi Ghoulie:Electric! at The Rickshaw Stop, on October 29. It is an all ager staring at 8.

Bimbo's gives you The Dodos and The Ruby Suns tonight at 8 - doors an hour earlier. Tickets are $18.

The Hive (1420 Tenth Street, Oakland) offers you an all age pay-by-donation show at 7 from Coma, Not To Reason Why, and Between Tongues.

Third Date play a free show at Blondie's Bar, 540 Valencia Street at 9. This is a 21 show.

Jesse Grant, Elektrik Sunset, and John Predny Band share the show at Kimo's on Thursday. Tickets are $6 for the 9pm performance.


Eddie the Rat and Head Boggle have a show on at The Luggage Store Gallery this October 29th. It starts at 8.

Thee Parkside hosts a Benefit for a Trans Woman Facing Felony Marijuana Charges show from Try The Pie, Imogen Binnie, and DJs Campbell, Durt, and Jean Jamz. It starts at 9 and is 21 .

Rupa & The April Fishes have a CD release show on at The Mezzanine on Thursday. Boots Riley, The California Honey Drops, and The Lloyd Family Players are also playing the show. Tickets are $10.

October 30 is when you can catch Logistic Slaughter, A Moment Of Clarity, Stillborn Portrait, Desecrater, and Deadly Remains playing a 7-30pm show at Your House, Oakland. It is all age and $8 - but you get a $2 discount if you dress up in costume.

For piano, head to Littlefield Concert Hall, Mills College, Oakland to hear from Belle Bullwinkle, Chris Brown, Robert Schwartz, and Regina Schaffer in an 8pm show.

Live 105 hosts a bunch of bands including The Faint, The Crystal Method,
Infected Mushroom, Flosstradamus, Zombie Nation, Le Castle Vania, Designer Drugs, Paparazzi, and DJ Omar in a show at The Cow Palace. It starts at 6-30 and is all age.


October 30th at Red Poppy Art House, you can catch Hallow's Eve-Eve Poe Party with Liza Mexxacappa and friends at 8.

Annie's gives you Death Valley High, Perfect Machines, Killola, Pinky Swear, and Protoman tonight at 9. Tickets are $7, but once again, you get $2 discount if you wear a costume.

BOTH gives you Pine & Battery, New Montgomery, Oona, and The Hi-Nobles tonight for $8 at 9.

If you want to party all night thru, try The Mezzanine. Zach Moore, Syd Gris, Kramer, and Adnan Sharif are playing from 9 til 4 for $25.
