2009 shows: October 17-18

Shitty Band Night 3 is on at B.R.S., Richmond from 3pm on October 17. It gives you an all ager from Damngirlnachos!, Liquid Pain, Black America, Somethin' Horrible, Carnivorous Plants Hungry For Human Flesh, Henry Darger, Derek Jeter And The Baby Eaters, and Def N' Jeune.

Annie's gives you Astra, Orchid, and Children Of Time at 9pm on October 17. Tickets are $10.

Pop Rocks is on at The Red Devil Lounge in a 21 show at 9 for $10.

Slim's gives you Brother Ali, Evidence, and Toki Wright in an all ager for $15 on Saturday.

A Place To Bury Strangers, These Are Powers, All The Saints, and Geographer share a show at The Independent tonight. It is listed as 21 and starts at 9, doors 8-30.


The Hemlock has a $6 show on at 9-30 from Goodbye Nautilus, The Chop, and My First Earthquake tonight.

Goodbye Gadget have a CD release show for you at BOTH tonight. Also playing are Lone Angels and Nerf Herder. Tickets are $12.

Saturday at 9 you can catch Tom Hall, Vivacious Vixens, and Dancing Baby playing a show at Watermelon Sugar (238 Missouri St, San Francisco).

The El Rio hosts a 21 event titled Frank El Rio and Scott Alcoholocaust's birthday on Saturday. Tickets are $8. Bands playing are Ludicra, King City, and Futur Skullz.

Cuban Cigar Crisis, Cervantes, and Four Inch Pony play The Li-Po Lounge (916 Grant Ave.) in a 21 show at 9.

The Red House, Walnut Creek offers you a $10 all ager at 7 on Saturday from Dance My Heart, Foolish Ways, Sink This Ship!, Weston Buck, and The Greenlight District.

Saturday is when you can catch half of the Treasure Island Music Festival at SF Bay. Music begins at noon, with entry an hour earlier. Bands performing include Girl Talk, Brazilian Girls, The Streets, Passion Pit, DJ Krush, Federico Aubele, Dan Deacon, Murs, and The Limousines. Tickets cost a minimum of $65 and range in price up to $250. The Treasure Island Music Festival continues on Sunday, and you can hear from bands such as The Flaming Lips, The Decemberists, Grizzly Bear, Yo La Tengo, The Walkmen, Vetiver, Spiral Stairs, and Sleepy Sun.


The Rickshaw Stop provides you with music from Straylight Run, Lydia, Anarbor, and Camera Can't Lie on October 18. Tickets are $12 and it is an all ager starting at 7.

Brazilian band Garotas Suecas play a show at The Hemlock with Lumerians and Grass Widow on Sunday. Tickets are $10 and it starts at 9pm.

Mike Posner and Big Sean play a show at 330 Ritch Street on Sunday. It is 21 and costs $15.

Kimo's gives you Ugly Winner, The Record Winter, and Tourister on Sunday at 9 for $6.
