2009 shows: JULY 11-12

On Saturday, Death Cab For Cutie, Andrew Bird, and Ra Ra Riot have a show on at The Greek Theatre, U.C. Berkeley. It is listed as all age and starts at 7pm - but tickets are set to $42.50 - ouch!

You can catch The Phenomenauts, The Re-Volts, and The Blammos playing The Command Center (2630 Union Street in Oakland) this week. It is listed as 18 with tickets at $10.

Thee Parkside's music is on for free until 8pm from 3. True Danger, Two Timin Hussies, and Lost Puppy play the all ager this week.

Indian Jewelry and Psychic Ills share a show at The Hemlock on July 11 that is listed as 21 and starts at 9:30pm.


Bray have an album release for you at The Independent this Saturday. Rubber Side Down also play the show that will cost you $15 and is listed as 21 .

The Crymuscles, Forro Fiando, and Paulo Presotto have a show on at Blake's in Berkeley this July 11. It is listed as 18 with tickets at $10.

July 11 gives you J.Valentine, Latoya Luckett, Tank, DJ Big Von, and Chris Spencer playing The Mezzanine. Their show is 21 and involves a dress code.

The Rocket Room gives you music from Level 12, Park Lane, and The Backup Razor in a 21 show starting at 8pm, this week

Luce play with The Gun & Doll Show and Pollux at the GAMH in an all ager this week.

The Arena, Oakland gives you American Idols Live this Saturday. (This may or may not be classed as entertainment, dependent upon if you follow local/real music or all music.) I, personally, know none of the performers…

The Festival of Drums is on at The Stork Club in Oakland this Sunday. For $7, you can catch Static Mind-Fi, The New Dysfunctions, Siddhartha, The Happy Clams, Bunny Numpkins And The Kill Blow-Up Reaction, Bitesize, Harlan Hollander, David & Joanna, DJs Mole andTidbit, and Kelsey On Accordion from 5pm.


Red Eye Junction plays Thee Parkside in a 7pm freebie this Sunday. It is listed as all age.

DJ Rob Metal is playing at Thee Parkside this week - with Skeletonwitch, Saviours, Trap Them, and At Our Heels. This show is set to start at 8pm and is listed as all age.

The Lab, 2948 Sixteenth Street at Capp, gives you Foot Village, Death Sentence, Panda!, Gowns, Lucky Dragons, Kit, Tits, The Urxed, and Former Ghosts this week. It is an all ager costing $8 and starts at 5pm.

Big Sam's Funky Nation play The Independent for $15 this Sunday. The show is on at 8, doors 7-30.
