Here is a show that missed the blog post for Oct 3: The Paper Sons play The Red Devil Lounge with Air Show Disaster, New Montgomery, and Jamal from Indiana on Saturday Oct 3.  This show is presented by YourMusicMagazine

School Of Seven Bells and Magic Wands play Slim's on Tuesday October 6. It is an all age event starting at 8 and costing $15

Q I noticed that you won Amoeba Records’ 'Home Grown' Artist of the Month earlier this year, what has been happening since then and what plans lie ahead?
A I'm grateful that the local SF community nominated me to be an artist of the month. I will say that Amoeba has always supported the survival of the independent musician. So, I definitely feel like they have pushed me a lot and have given me some rad exposure in the Bay Area. Now it's on to New York for hopefully some continued exposure in a more musically saturated and driven town.

2009 shows: October 3-5

On October 3, The Festival of Harps is an opportunity to hear from Rudiger Oppermann, Park Stickney, Ann & Charlie Heymann, Carlos Reyes, Cheryl Ann Fulton, Chris Caswell, Youssoupha Sidibe, and Diana Stork at The Chapel of the Chimes (4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland). It is an all age event that costs between $5 and $20 and runs from 5-9pm.

Thee Parkside offers you a 9pm show from Schande, Who Cares, Belly Of The Whale, and Sleeptalks on Saturday. Tickets are $8 and it is listed as all age

On Sunday 27 September from 4 thru 7pm, Thee Parkside has some entertainment for you. It is (QUOTE - pinched from Bill Spooner's website - www.billspooner.com): "All ages, opens @ 2pm, good food with $5 pulled pork sandwiches (yum). Big patio. Free parking. Muni 22 or 19 or 10 bus lines stop @ the bar. Lots of Kami Nixon and the Skiddy Knickers music during this 3-hour show. Lots of traditional country covers. Very twangy. Very tangy."

On Sunday, Alice 97.3 Now and Zen Fest present Train, Colbie Caillat, and Howie Day

Slim's have a show for you from Billy Talent, Poison The Well, and AM Taxi on September 25. It is an all ager for $15

Over four days, September 21-24, CDN hosts the Blue Bear School of Music Band Showcases in all age events. Tickets cost between $12 and $20.

Titus Andronicus and The So So Glos play BOTH on Monday at 9, with doors a half hour earlier. This is an all age event costing $8

In Oakland, The Avengers, Pansy Division, and The Paul Collin's Beat play The Uptown, Thursday night. The show is 21 and costs $12

Flogging Molly, Hepcat, and Fitz And The Tantrumsi all play The Fox Theater in Oakland on Friday. It is an all ager event run by Live 105 and tickets cost $29.50.

If you are looking for a cheaper all age event in Oakland, Stone Vengeance, Proudflesh, Hellhunter, Cheapskate, and Concrete Coffin pla a $7 show at The Metro tonight

Vivian Girls have a CD release show on at The Rickshaw Stop on September 9. Also playing are The Beets. It is an all ager starting at 8, with doors a half hour earlier.

Wednesday gives you an 8-30pm show from Pumice and Common Eider King Eider at 21 Grand
