The Hemlock gives you music from out-of-towners Iron Age, along with Mammoth Grinder, Foreign Nature, and Secret People this week. Tickets are $5 and the show is on from 7

The Asian Man Records 13th anniversary BBQ brings you Toys That Kill, Classics Of Love, The Singularity, Anchor Down, The Pillowfights, The Hot Toddies, Atom Age, For the Win, Mike Park, and Ready The Jet at The Oakland Coliseum this Saturday. It is an all age free event and starts at 4pm.

The Benefit Habitat for Humanity event is going on at The Uptown - also in Oakland this Saturday. At this event you can hear from Dashing Suns, Soft White Sixties, Disgust Of Us, and Raised By Robots for $10 at 9pm

Oakland Grimefest is going on at 925 High Street, Oakland this Saturday, with a concert from Liquid Pain, Assassin Empire, Vietus Mortuus, Cyanic, Condemned To Live, and 3-4 more bands. Tickets cost $8 and it is an all age show starting at 2-3opm.

The Goat Family, One Man Banjo, Aesthetic Cling, 5 Cent Coffee, Reverend And Missus McCubbin, Vagabondage, Just Henry, and Liquor Cake play Junkstock at Marx Meadow in Golden Gate Park for free today. The music is on from 11am and it is a free all age event

Out of towner Miranda Lee Richards has a show at CDN tonight with Emily Jane White, Helene Renaut, and Chloe Makes Music. It is listed as 21 and is part of Mission Creek Music and Arts Festival. On Tuesday, the festival continues at CDN with a show from Birds & Batteries, Sam Flaxx Keener, Sean Smith & The Present Moment, and Chris Lacey. It starts at 8 and is 21

The Red Devil Lounge is situated at 1695 Polk Street. The phone contact for the venue is 415-921-1695. Their website is www.reddevillounge.com. This is a 21 venue and they claim to check EVERY entrant for age ID. (Warning for overseas tourists - their website claims to ONLY accept a US issued drivers license or state ID card - you may have to contact the venue in advance and explain your position!!)

On Saturday, Death Cab For Cutie, Andrew Bird, and Ra Ra Riot have a show on at The Greek Theatre, U.C. Berkeley. It is listed as all age and starts at 7pm - but tickets are set to $42.50 - ouch!

You can catch The Phenomenauts, The Re-Volts, and The Blammos playing The Command Center (2630 Union Street in Oakland) this week. It is listed as 18 with tickets at $10

Pirate Cat Radio Cafe is situated at 2781 21st Street. It is open 7/7, from 7am thru 11pm. Their phone is (415) 341-1199. Their website is www.piratecatradio.com and their Myspace www.myspace.com/piratecatradio - although they suggest that you use their Facebook rather than Myspace to keep up to date/support them. You can hear their radio service online at Really Long Link This venue does not take credit cards but is wheelchair accessible.

Although not a concert as such, there is to be a meeting at Thrillhouse Records, Mission St at 8-30pm on Monday night. The meet-up is to plan and create an all age local venue.

David Dondero and Milk Milk Lemonade play a 7pm show at The Hemlock on Monday night. Tickets will be $6
