Cannons & Clouds play The Elbo Room for $6 on February 4. It is a 21 show starting at 9.

Coyote Grace, Kitchen Fire, and Crooked Roads play The El Rio on Wednesday. This is also a 21 show and will cost $5

2009 shows: February 1-3

Sunday first of Feb offers ska music from Voodoo Glow Skulls, The Toasters, Deal's Gone Bad, and Monkey at Slim's. The show is all age and starts at 7pm wit tickets at $16.

Amy Ray plays a free all age show at Amoeba Music, 1855 Haight on Sunday. This show is set for 2pm

Annie's Social Club is situated in the SOMA district at 917 Folsom Street, SF. It opens Monday to Saturday until 2am, with Happy Hour from 5-7 on weekdays. Rachel Margaret has a 7-30pm show on January 30 at Liberty Wine Bar, 410 Cortland.

Fuga have a CD release and play a show at Slim's with La Collectiva at 9pm on Jan 30. It is an all age event and tickets will cost $15

Calvin Johnson and Grass Widow offer the music at A.T.A., 992 Valencia St on January 26 along with the screening of 'Heart of Nowhere'. This is an all age event with tickets at $6.

Also on Monday, The Hemlock offers Pins Of Light and Songs For Moms in a 21 , $6 show at 7

1. I am planning on running a series of write-ups concerning the various venues about town. When I will actually get around to posting them and how many per week will depend on my workload, but I am estimating that this should begin in around a week's time.

Not much happening at the start of the week - just one show to report from 2 lists and band flyers for each of the first two days. Get Dead, Neutralboy and No Red Flags have a concert at The Hemlock on Monday - a 21 gig that starts at 7-30 and costs $5.

BOTH offers Wovenhand, Silver Summit and The Holy Kiss to you on Tuesday in an 18 show. Tickets will cost $12
