September 29-October 1

Personal & The Pizzas play The Hemlock on Monday, along with Aussie Fred Astereo and Nobunny. It is a 21 /7pm/$5 show.

If you are looking for a more famous band playing the local scene, you can supposedly catch My Bloody Valentine on the 30th September at The Concourse, (620 7th Street) be prepared to part with more than $45 for this show though

September 27th offers a new venture for those into house & electronica. 'Karma' is to be a monthly event located at Kelly's Mission Rock, 817 Terry Francois Blvd.. It is 18 entry - with 21 drinks, and the doors open at 9pm. Tickets cost $20 and can be grabbed in advance from www.groovetickets.com (You can find out further details at www.myspace.com/karmafridays)

Religious Girls, Tea Elles, and The Divine Feud play The Mansion, 1547 Revere Avenue on September 27th. The show starts at 7pm and it is suggested you offer a 43 donation

CDN hosts a 3-day session presented by the Blue Bear Band Showcase on the 22nd. The music covers everything from QUOTE: “rock, blues, jazz, soul/R&B and '80s pop bands plus jazz vocals, songwriters, acoustic and solo performances

Veil Veil Vanish have a show at The Uptown in Oakland on September 19th. Romance are also playing, and the show starts at 8pm. Veil Veil Vanish have a second show listed for September 19th at 9pm. This show is to be at The Hemlock Tavern, is 21 , and music will also be provided by Sleepmask & Romance.

If you are looking for big names playing locally, Janet Jackson is in town and plays The Arena, Oakland on Saturday. The show starts at 7-30 and tickets range upwards from $40.

Also in Oakland, The Black Widows Gothic Strip Revue plays with DJ's Thomas Diablo and Fact at The Uptown. Tickets are $10 and it is 21

September 4th offers us a concert from Swann Danger at The Eagle. It is due to start at 8pm.

Also on the 4th, Pidgeon, Tear It Down, The Delta Mirror, The Shimmies and DJ Odd Nosdam play the Hotel Utah. This is an 8pm concert and tickets are $6 at the door. Delta Mirror have their new CD released at this show
